One spicy meatball

I am down and out and not happy about it. One spicy meatball gave me food poisoning. If you have had food poisoning before you know how I fell. Pretty pissed about it. Try doing a time trial with this sickness and you have a mess.

Nate is sitting top 35 out of 130 after the TT.

Dead Dog Recap

Up this past weekend was the Dead Dog Stage Race in Laramie, WY. Making the trip was;
Randy "The Ratchet" Reichardt, Dan "The Killa" Porter, Nate "Natty-Albert" Buyon, Brian "No-draft" Hutchison, and Derek "D-Rockstar" Strong.

The road race was back to the very difficult, original course; 86 miles, gawd knows how much climbing, wind, heat and altitude. An early break went, that wasn't much of a worry, but HART worked to set a steady pace for the beginning of the race leading into the climb. Dan and Nate and Derek climbed well. Much of the group was still together after the turnaround, and heading back for another run at the 11,000+ foot pass. "The Killa" was just off the second group, and finished 10th on the evil, final, uphill kick.

HART had some revenge that we wanted to take out in this crit, after we fouled it up a couple years ago. We had fewer guys than VC and Big Al's and probably the Bagel Boyz too, but we were definitely the most active. "No-Draft" and "Natty-Albert" covered attacks, controlled the pace, blocked, etc., from start to finish of the race. "The Ratchet" got off in a very early attack, in a very good looking break. "D-Rockstar" was just waiting for people to relax, and once the gap was established, he took off on a flyer, with good help from Tarkington, and they both bridged up to the break. "The Killa" sat in resting for the TT, and protecting his GC spot, other than one prime that he went for trying to steal back some precious seconds in the GC. At the finish, it was "The Ratchet" taking 2nd, and "D-Rockstar" pulling a fine 5th place. is chance. Yeah, we were all looking for the win, but a strong showing nonetheless, and a great team effort.

The TT was business as usual. "The Killa" went hard trying to make up some time on GC Meanwhile the rest of us had big time gaps to work around, and and therefore were just out to get a solid effort in on the TT bike. And it's a tough TT course! Rolling hills, exposed to lots of wind, and at 9000 feet elevation!

We were looking for a better overall result, but the race in general was a good team effort. And there's no hiding in that one, it's tough all around. Get up there if you get a chance, the organizers and volunteers do an amazing job at this race!

The Welsh Tornado

HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE, DENVER, COLORADO
10.35 AM MDT, MONDAY JUNE 25, 2007

- TORNADO WARNINGS are in effect for the entire front range, over the next several weeks...

Rumor has it, that Paul "The Welsh Tornado" Esposti, might be making a return appearance in the next week or two. After recent heavy training, including workouts involving a new bike trailer for Ben, driving support for Rist, and tactical planning for Dead Dog, Paul is very motivated to get back into the peloton, and throw around that unmistakable accent of his.

RMO Wrap up

1st, 3rd, and 4th for the overall this weekend. For a guy that wasn't going to race this weekend he sure cleaned house. Wes Hartman took the overall with Nick Frey in 3rd and Randy Reichardt in 4th. The team took home some cash and new confidence in one another. We have, and still are working on our communication as a team. Which is one of the reason we weren't 2nd place instead of 4th. I wasn't where I was suppose to be with 1 lap to go. Live and learn. Communication is key. Great job this weekend HART brothers.

Ah...yeah! That is how it is suppose to be for this team. Show up with 8 guys that work together for a common goal. Everyone on the team today laid it on the line for their brothers/teammates. The team grew leaps and bounds today over City Park. City Park we were riding as individuals and hoping things would go right. Today everyone worked as a team. You guys know we can do this now, so lets get it done more often.

Some highlights!!!
Derek Strong looking out for Nick Frey and Dan Porter. Getting them in the right spots during the race. Dropping back for Nick during his flat. Bridging Dan up to the break and leading out the sprint. BIG props goes out to D-Strong

Wes Hartman showing that he can wait till mile 5 to attack. Carrying out the attack to make it the winning break and finishing off the sprint for 2nd.

Brian and Carlos blocking the field right with skill and allowing us to get a 10 min gap!!!

Dan taking the sprint for 6th

Ewam coming back to the races strong.

See you all tomorrow. Lets take the overall.

RMO: TT

Just a quick update on todays time trial. Derek Strong, Nick Frey and I raced this afternoon on a nice 7 mile course. A very well set up course. It had its false flats, power climbs, and tight corners. "I like." If Nick wouldn't have gotten lost on the way to the race we might have gotten a warm up in!!! So I had to slam a burrito and hit the start line. I might have had something to do with us being late as well. Anyway, Nick busted a nice time for 3rd place, Derek is top 15, and I am top 10.

P.S. It was great to see everyone out there wearing the 2007 team kits. Also, the skin suit are in and very comfortable! Best skinsuit I have been in.

Till tomorrow...peace

Back on bike

All my fellow team,

I'm back on the bike and have six weeks to get in shape before I race. Off to see a man about some acupunture on Monday, hope to get to the bottom of this soon.

laters.

This seems pretty nice.

This blog seems too be a little roomier than the website, at www.haulnass.com. Good daylighting. Yeah, there's a good vibe here, I can eat french fries here for a long time.

Let's see how it handles.

Yes, double leg cramps can bring a strong man to his knees or ass in this case.
That's got to hurt
